A strategic outpost since fur- trading days, Kingston lies at the junction of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. Massive Fort Henry presides on a hilltop above the city, overlooking the lake and up the river toward the 1000 Islands. Costumed interpreters explain early-19th- century military life. Ten minutes from the campground, tour boats leave regularly to cruise the islands.

Its all within easy reach of this KOA, where a sundeck and pool, 18-hole mini golf course and other attractions encourage lazy hours among its treed grounds --- except when "Yee-Ha" wagon rides, ice cream socials, karaoke and other events take over, in the season.
