Wellesley Manor Boutique Hotel is a quiet little European flavoured hotel located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Located inside a beautifully restored 100 year old mansion, the Wellesley Manor Boutique Hotel strives to find a mix between modern comfort and old-world charm. Everything inside has been exquisitely restored to match the Victorian period when the house was originally constructed. Small details like fixtures, trims and wood-workings have been restored to their original splendour. The furniture and decor have been carefully selected to give guests the feeling of stepping into the past. With all the focus on Victorian style, it*s important to note that Wellesley Manor is not opposed to the trappings of modernity. All rooms come with 27* flat screen TVs and DVD players. Satellite TV is available in rooms as well. For those compulsive email checkers, and anyone else who just can*t seem to spend a couple of days away from cyberspace, complimentary high speed internet is available. Although there is no restaurant on-site, all rooms come with mini-refrigerators, so guest can bring back any number of little goodies that might make for a great midnight snack. The location is one of the selling points of the hotel. The hotel is located just steps away from Yonge St. and Wellesley subway station. The subway is a safe, affordable way to see all of Toronto*s major landmarks. For those who don*t want to stray too far from home base, there*s plenty to do in the immediate area. The haute-couture shops of Bloor St are within walking distance, as is the Royal Ontario Museum. There is no end of restaurants on either Yonge St or Church St. Pretty much every type of cuisine is available in a wide variety of price ranges, all within walking distance from the hotel.
